A blogger and an influencer walk into a bar..

Ruby Rhod from "The Fifth Element"

Bloggers have been around for millions of years. Sharing their opinions on unnecessary long posts and slowly building a strong following. Most of these individuals have their own website and rely on their interaction with their audience in order to grow and profit. Their dough comes from ads on their sites, promotional posts, sponsors and probably their other more stable job. What!.. I'm just the messenger.

The internet grew and evolved into this leviathan digital blob of information that often confuses you instead of helping you out. So did the bloggers. With more channels and methods to spread their word, they evolved, well..kind of. Not all influencers started s bloggers of course.

Influencers, are apparently these cool people that attend the best parties, have awesome skills and you secretly envy for having a great life. They have a massively following and, unlike bloggers, they post about more personal stuff, experiences and they don't really interact much with their audience...they are famous, duh.

All bloggers are influencers, not all influencers are bloggers.

Why am I writing about this now, did I run out of ideas? Am I being sponsored by bloggers to talk crap about influencers?
Nope! quite the contrary, even though the influencer job seems a bit easier than blogging, having a following and maintaining is no easy job and not anyone can do it, influencers know this and here is where the money comes in. In fact, the last campaigns I launched, gave me a more positive ROI when working with influencers instead of bloggers.
What am I saying now? well, keep up!
Influencers have already a follower base built, and even though it might not be as solid as a blogger, it generally is bigger, bigger means more exposure, more exposure means blah blah blah.

What do you think?
